F-1 Visa / International Athletes

A major blind spot in the NIL landscape. International athletes on F-1 student visas generally can't participate in NIL activities at all - U.S. immigration law treats it as unauthorized employment. Getting caught could mean losing your visa and being sent home. Any international athlete considering NIL should talk to their school's international student office first. It's one of the biggest inequities in the current system.
